Sao Filipe or Saint Philip in Portuguese or San Filipi in Cape Verdean Creole is part of the Sotavento archipelago of Cape Verde. St. Philip is also the capital of Fogo Island and the 5th largest city in Cape Verde. Linked to the other towns on the island with dirt cum partly paved road, Sao Filipe is famous for its black sand beaches, thick green foliage, several gardens, abundance of beautiful flora and fauna and historic architecture. It also houses the only airport on the island.
St. Philip also has the Tallest Mountain in Cape Verde called Mount Fogo and the Cha das Caldeiras west of the mountaintop.
The property market in St. Philip is still in its nascent stages and looks good for long-term investment. The land is cheaper than that available in most of the other Caribbean islands. If you are looking for a cheap investment that can yield significant profit in the long-term, then St. Philip real-estate is a good bet.
